Anal Toy Safety Checklist: Base Design, Size, Lube and Care

Anal Toy Safety Checklist

Safety starts with choosing a product designed for anal use and checking its specifications before use. This checklist complements the product information in our Anal Toys collection.

1. Check the retrieval design

Use a toy with a flared base, retrieval handle or another design intended to prevent full insertion.

2. Read the dimensions

Compare maximum width or diameter and insertable length. Size labels are not standardized, so actual measurements are more useful.

3. Use compatible lubricant

Use a generous amount and follow the toy manufacturer's material-compatibility guidance. Compare current formulas in Anal Lubricants.

4. Proceed gradually

Do not force insertion or removal. Stop with pain, numbness, bleeding or unusual discomfort.

5. Clean according to the material

Follow manufacturer instructions for cleaning, drying, charging and water exposure. Not every toy can be boiled or submerged.

6. Do not improvise with unsuitable products

Products without an appropriate anal-safety design should not be substituted for toys intended for anal use.

Use these criteria while comparing Butt Plugs, Anal Probes, Beads & Balls and Anal Vibrators.
